Black Ops 4 has been released and is running fast with some pretty exciting multiplayer games, blackout game modes and the ever return of the Zombies Campaign. However there is a growing number of concerns over Black Ops 4 Revealing and Showing Real names alongside Usernames during multiplayer Games.
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Showing Real Names? Is This an Issue?
Some Streamers and other online gamers have made it pretty obvious that their upset about Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Revealing their real names while playing online. Some gamers have protested that they were never given an option for this.
In our opinion we agree that it’s very unfair that streamers should have to play with their real details being shown while playing. This can leave them exposed to significant harassment from other users.
The Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Forums are lit with complaints and un-trust over the situation.
How to Hide your Real Name in Black Ops 4.
You can deactivate REAL ID on Battle.Net when playing online. This will ensure that your hide your Real Name Tag while playing. However some users have complained that despite having the settings turned off. Their real Name still shows on the game.
Other experienced users have also stressed that others cannot see your real name tag. This is only for your family and friends that have you connected via Battle.Net and Black Ops 4.
However this is still not ideal for Streamers for Black Ops 4 as it will show their viewers and others personal details of that streamer which they may want to keep hidden.
Conclusion.
No official response has been given towards the issue just yet. However if we do hear anything we will be sure to post it here.
Personally we don’t really think it’s cool that our Real Names should appear within a game without our explicit consent. Also it’s pretty un-necessary as your friends will most likely know your name and will not need to be reminded.
